UGC pipeline kit licence
A personal licence to this kit is included with MakeRoll Lifetime membership, separate from the core service. The same text ships in the kit as LICENSE.md. The setup guide has a short summary, and this full text wins if the two ever differ.
Version 2026-10-01. Copyright 2026 Autom8 LLC. All rights not granted here are reserved.
This licence covers the MakeRoll UGC agentic pipeline kit: the code, the ugc command, scripts, prompts, settings, price tables, the starter show, the documentation and any updates we send you (together, "the kit").
The kit is supplied by Autom8 LLC, which operates MakeRoll ("we"). Address: Davtashen, Pirumyan Street, Building 4/3, Apt. 12, Yerevan 0054, Armenia. Contact: hello@makeroll.com.
This licence sits alongside the MakeRoll Terms (makeroll.com/terms.html). If the two ever conflict, the Terms win.
1. Who the licence is for
You, the person who bought a MakeRoll lifetime membership and received a member key for the kit from the MakeRoll bot on your Telegram account. The licence covers one person. It is personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable, and you cannot sublicense it.
2. What you may do
- Install and run the kit on computers you own or control, and keep backup copies.
- Use it to make videos for your own brand, and for clients. You run the kit yourself and deliver the finished videos to your client.
- Change the code, prompts and settings for your own use.
3. What you may not do
- Sell, resell, rent, lend, give away or share the kit, or a changed version of it, with anyone else. That includes teammates, clients and other MakeRoll members.
- Publish the code or any substantial part of it, for example in a public repository, gist, course, template pack, forum or file-sharing site. Showing a short excerpt inside the private MakeRoll room to ask for help is fine.
- Offer the kit, or anything built on it, as a hosted service, app, bot or API that other people use or operate. Delivering finished videos is allowed. Letting other people run the pipeline is not.
- Remove this licence or the copyright notices.
- Use the MakeRoll name or logo in a way that suggests MakeRoll made, checked or endorsed your videos.
4. Your videos and other outputs
As far as MakeRoll is concerned, the videos, images, audio and scripts you make with the kit belong to you. MakeRoll claims no ownership of them and no right to use them. Anything you choose to post in the MakeRoll room is covered by section 11 of the Terms.
The kit sends your requests to third-party AI models through treg.to. Those providers have their own terms, which may limit commercial use, content or ownership. You must follow them. Whether an AI output can be protected by copyright depends on the law where you are, and we cannot promise that it can.
5. Rights, likeness and disclosure are your responsibility
You publish what you make, so these are your responsibility:
- Use only material you have the rights to: footage, photos, voices, music, logos, brand names and trademarks.
- Do not make anything that looks or sounds like a real person without their written consent. Do not suggest that a real brand or person endorses something they have not endorsed.
- Follow the AI-disclosure rules that apply where your video is shown and sold. These include platform AI labels, Article 50 of the EU AI Act for deepfakes, and advertising law. Never present an AI character as a real customer, reviewer or testimonial. In the US, the FTC rule on fake reviews and testimonials bans testimonials by people who do not exist, and EU consumer law has similar rules.
- Where you can, keep the provenance data (such as C2PA) that the models attach.
6. Third-party costs are yours
The kit calls third-party services through your own treg.to account. treg.to charges that account under its own terms and prices. MakeRoll does not charge for those calls and does not refund them. To see an estimate without spending anything, run ./ugc run --dry-run. The kit will not start a run if your balance is below the estimate, or if the run's worst-case estimate is above your budget cap (budget.max_run_usd in project.json, $1.00 by default). Prices change, so an estimate is not a quote. If a defect in the kit itself makes it spend money it should not have, tell us. Section 8 applies.
7. What the kit does and does not promise
The kit is supplied as described in its README and on makeroll.com/ugc-pipeline/, including the system requirements stated there. It does not promise results. That means no promise of views, sales, bookings, a passing quality score, or acceptance by any platform. Generative models are unpredictable: the same input can give different results, and some paid takes will not be usable. The kit depends on treg.to and on model providers, which may change, raise prices or stop. We update the kit where we reasonably can. Please install the updates we send.
8. Our responsibility
Section 12 of the Terms applies. If the kit does not work as described, tell us at hello@makeroll.com, and we will fix it, or give a price reduction or refund as section 7 of the refund policy (makeroll.com/refunds.html) sets out. Nothing in this licence limits your mandatory consumer rights under the law of your country of residence, such as the EU rules on digital content or the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in it limits any liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
9. When the licence ends
The licence ends automatically if:
- the lifetime payment is refunded in full, or any part of the $149 kit licence is refunded; or
- the payment is charged back through your bank, because a dispute was decided against us or the payment was returned to you through the dispute.
We may also end the licence by telling you in writing if you break section 3.
The licence does not end because you withdraw from the lifetime membership after the kit was supplied, because of a closure refund under section 5 of the Terms, or because of a price reduction for a defect, unless we confirm in writing that it does.
When the licence ends, stop using the kit and delete every copy within 14 days. That includes changed versions and backups. Your member key is revoked, so the installer, your AI agent and the bot can no longer download the kit. Videos you made before the licence ended stay yours, subject to section 5.
Sections 3, 4, 5, 6, 9 and 10 continue to apply after the licence ends.
10. Law and complaints
This licence is governed by the law of the Republic of Armenia. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence. Send complaints first to hello@makeroll.com. We reply within two business days, Monday to Friday. You may also contact the consumer authority in your country.
11. Other software and changes
Third-party software that the kit uses or installs, such as Python packages, ffmpeg and the treg command-line tool, is not covered by this licence and keeps its own licence terms.
A later version of the kit may come with an updated licence. A change that takes away rights you already have in a kit you received needs your agreement.
